We gathered our best images and created a wall calendar for 2020. The idea behind is that every day, we should make a note about some observation or a small discovery that we made that particular day. Well, good luck with that! :)
European Drosophila Research Conference 2019

We attended EDRC 2019 conference in Lausanne, Switzerland (despite it doesn´t look like it from the picture :) ). We presented two posters - one concerning ImpL2 project and one about the metabolic switch in activated macrophages.

This summer, we started to employ both scanning and transmission electron microscopy and we fell in love with it.
Adéla defended her bachelor thesis and was evaluated as excellent!

Adéla methodologically established preparation of parrafin slides and her work gave foundation for studying adipose tissue remodeling. She decided to stay in our group also for her master studies and she is going to work on studying lipid metabolism in activated macrophages.

Image competition 2018

Gabriela won first prize in aesthetics cathegory of Image competition of the Department of Molecular biology and Genetics with her image of Drosophila cryosection. Moreover, Adéla won third prize in scientific merit cathegory with her image of paraffin section of freshly emerged fly.

Gabriela Krejčová - awarded the first place in competition of PhD presentations on retreat of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics - she won as a master student in competition of all PhD students
